YB Dato' Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir has served as Malaysia’s Minister of Higher Education since 12 December 2023. He holds a PhD in Political Thought and an MA in Political Philosophy and Comparative Religion from Temple University, USA, as well as a Master’s in Islamic Thought and a Bachelor’s in Economics (Honours) from the International Islamic University Malaysia.

With more than three decades of public service, he has held prominent leadership roles including Minister of Foreign Affairs, the 11th Chief Minister of Perak, and State Assemblyman for Pangkor. His career reflects a strong commitment to nation-building, educational advancement, and youth empowerment.

As Minister of Higher Education, he focuses on advancing academic excellence, fostering innovation, promoting ethical and inclusive research, and ensuring that Malaysia’s institutions remain globally competitive and relevant.

Dr. Zambry also maintains close ties with the academic community, serving as Adjunct Professor at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and Professor in Practice at Putra Business School, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). His academic contributions continue to influence discourse on leadership, governance, and the role of education in shaping sustainable societies.
